This wrench was developed to provide long service life in the rough environment of the tire service shop.  A single direction ratchet protects the wrench from the abuse of being used as a breaker bar in removing stuborn lug nuts due to overtightening, or the corrosive elements of the road. The ratchet will not lock in the counter- clockwise (removal) direction.
